Disney’s British summer starts in ten days. Disney Dream departs Southampton for the Norwegian fjords on 27 July, opening a season of ten sailings that runs to mid-September.
The itineraries are built for the school holidays: short breaks to Belgium, the Netherlands and Spain through August, week-long voyages as term resumes, and a transatlantic to finish.
And the booking pages, read carefully, tell you exactly which sailings Disney still needs to fill.
The season, sailing by sailing
Two seven-night fjords voyages open the season: 27 July (Rotterdam, Måløy, Ålesund, Bergen) and 3 August (Haugesund, Olden, Ålesund, Stavanger).
August then belongs to the short breaks: four nights to Bilbao from the 10th, three nights to Rotterdam from the 14th, four nights to La Coruña on the 17th and 24th, and three nights to Zeebrugge for Bruges on the 21st and 28th.
September brings the seven-night British Isles voyage on the 7th — Liverpool, Greenock for Glasgow and Edinburgh, Cobh for Cork, and Portland for Stonehenge — before Dream leaves for Fort Lauderdale on the 14th.
All prices below are Disney’s own, quoted for two guests including taxes, fees and port charges.
What it costs
The cheapest way aboard is the 3-night Zeebrugge break on 21 August: inside cabins from £2,083 for two. Rotterdam starts at £2,285, the 4-night Spain sailings around £2,550.
Be clear-eyed about what that means: roughly £350 per person per night for the short breaks. Disney prices at a premium to every mainstream line in Southampton and does not apologise for it.
The fjords are in another league again. The 3 August sailing starts at £7,972 for two — for an inside cabin, without a window — rising to £12,374 for a verandah. That is peak school-holiday Norway, priced accordingly.
What the fare buys is the thing Disney does better than anyone: the characters, Broadway-scale shows, kids’ clubs children genuinely refuse to leave — and, unusually for this market, no casino anywhere on board.
Read the discounts — they map the calendar
Disney is running “guaranteed with restrictions” fares on some sailings — a discount in exchange for letting Disney choose your stateroom.
Where those discounts sit is the story. The September British Isles voyage is £1,421 off, with insides at £4,315 from £5,737. The two August fjords sailings carry no discount at all.
Term time needs help; the school holidays do not. It is the same arithmetic we found in P&O’s family offers this week — the deepest cuts always sit where families tied to term dates cannot reach them.
The guarantee fares also produce some odd inversions worth knowing about. On the British Isles sailing, a discounted verandah (£5,174) is currently cheaper than an undiscounted oceanview (£6,140). Booking from the bottom of the price list would cost you more for less.
The quiet bargain leaves on 14 September
The season’s best value is the sailing that ends it: 13 nights from Southampton to Fort Lauderdale via Vigo, Lisbon and Madeira, departing 14 September.
With a £945 discount applied, insides start at £2,973 for two — about £114 per person per night, a fifth of the fjords rate on the same ship. Verandahs are £3,563.
It is one-way, term-time, and you fly home from Florida. For couples and home-educating families, it is comfortably the cheapest Disney sailing from Britain this year.
Next summer, the ship gets newer
Dream is a 2011 ship. Her replacement is not.
In 2027, Disney Wish — the 2022 flagship of Disney’s newest class — makes her first European season: across the Atlantic in April, the Mediterranean from Barcelona and Rome through early summer, then Southampton for August and September, with first-ever Disney calls at Trieste, Zadar and Hellesylt along the way.

The bottom line
Disney from Southampton is a premium product at premium prices — roughly double the mainstream lines sharing the port, quoted per couple rather than per person, with third and fourth guests paying too.
For families set on it, the practical advice is simple. The Bruges and Rotterdam breaks are the affordable way in. The discounted Spain and British Isles guarantee fares are where the value sits if you are relaxed about cabin position — and check the verandah price before booking an oceanview.
And if the dates work, the 14 September transatlantic is the sleeper of the season. Thirteen Disney nights for less than the price of three in the fjords.
