Royal Caribbean has brought back its double loyalty points offer — the first time it’s run one since the pandemic, according to fan site Royal Caribbean Blog. You’ve got until 31 July to use it.
The mechanics are simple. Book a new Royal Caribbean cruise between now and 31 July, and Crown & Anchor members earn double Cruise Points on it. A seven-night week in a standard cabin banks 14 points instead of seven. Suites double from two a night to four; solo travellers in suites, from three to six.
It applies to sailings departing 1 September 2026 to 30 April 2027, on up to two cruises per member. Every tier qualifies, from Gold to Pinnacle, and it doesn’t matter how long it’s been since you last sailed — you just need your membership number on the booking.
What it’s actually worth
Be clear about what this is: nothing gets cheaper. Not a pound comes off the fare. What doubles is your progress up the loyalty ladder — and for regulars, that’s not nothing. Diamond status, where the daily free drinks start, needs 80 points. At double speed, a couple of week-long cruises suddenly move you a month’s worth of sailing up the ladder.
It also stacks with Royal’s money-off promotions — BOGO60, Kids Sail Free, free third and fourth guests, onboard credit offers, even shareholder benefits — so you’re not choosing between this and a discount.
The catches
Transatlantic and transpacific sailings are excluded — Royal knows exactly how many points a 14-night crossing would mint. So no, the £476 Miami-to-Southampton crossing doesn’t count.
The booking window also closes before Freedom of the Seas starts her new Southampton season in May 2027 — so the no-fly programme we covered last week is entirely outside this offer. For UK cruisers the qualifying options are this autumn’s remaining Southampton sailings on Liberty of the Seas, fly-cruise winters in the Caribbean — or Legend of the Seas’ final 2026 Mediterranean departures before she heads west in November.
Points land only once you’ve paid in full, up to 30 days after the cruise ends. And one for anyone who also sails Celebrity or Silversea: transfer these points through Points Choice and the bonus is forfeited. The doubles stay loyal to Royal.
The bottom line
If you were booking a Royal Caribbean cruise anyway for the autumn, winter or spring, this is free acceleration — take it. If you weren’t, don’t book a cruise for points; that’s how loyalty schemes win.
Either way, the clock’s the thing: booked by 31 July, or not at all.
